Dog Parade Rules & Guidelines

It’s your dog’s day to shine at the Snookie’s Puppy Cone Dog Parade! What better way to kick off the 2019 Beaverdale Fall Festival?

You and your pup have a chance to win one of the two judged categories:

  • Best Dog/Owner Look-Alike
  • Best Team Spirit (choose any sports team)

The winner of each category takes home a $50 gift certificate!

Registration Information

  • $5 entry fee (this includes a doggie bandana)
  • Complete the online application
  • Application and $5 entry fee must be received by September 18

Restrictions Apply

  • One dog per owner
  • This is a dog-only event
  • Dog must be on leash at all times
  • Must have current shots
  • No aggressive dogs; no dogs in heat
  • Must take care of all your pet’s waste before, during, and after event

What to Expect

We want you to know exactly where to be, when to be there, and what you and your dog will get to experience the day of the parade.

Arrival and Check-In

The check-in and lineup will take place at 9am, Saturday, September 15th in the Beaverdale Books parking lot at 2629 Beaver Avenue.


Before the parade, the judging will take place in the parking lot of Beaverdale Books between 9am and 9:30am. Winners will be announced after the Dog Parade, at the intersection of Beaver and Urbandale Avenues.

Parade Route

The Dog Parade will begin promptly at 9:35am and will start at Beaverdale Books, then head north on Beaver to Adams. From there, the parade will make a u-turn and head back to the intersection of Beaver and Urbandale Avenues.

Beaverdale Festival Rules

The Festival is not responsible for any injuries that occur to Dog Parade participants or their dogs, loss or damage to personal property by reason of weather, fire, accident, theft or any other cause.  The Festival reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the Festival.
