At Large Director

Volunteer Role - Beaverdale Fall Festival - Board of Directors

The At Large Director plays a vital role in the success of the Beaverdale Fall Festival by supporting board operations, contributing to decision-making, and assisting with event planning and execution. This role provides flexibility to help where needed, ensuring the festival runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Board Support:

    • Actively participate in Board meetings and contribute to effective governance.

    • Provide input on festival logistics-related decisions and strategies.

    • Augment the board of directors skillsets and experience.

    • Support other directors and serve as a ‘backup’, providing additional help in the planning and execution of the Fall Festival events and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for the Beaverdale Neighborhood and the Beaverdale Fall Festival.

  • Experience in event planning, logistics, or operations management.

  • Ability to problem-solve effectively and efficiently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Time Commitment

  • 1-year term

  • Regular Board meetings and additional time for various duties.

  • A larger time commitment in the months around the Festival (July through Mid October)

  • Availability on-site during the festival, including setup and tear-down (Thursday-Sunday).

Expectations

All board members are expected to follow the festival's Board Member Code of Conduct and By-Laws.
